Plex VR offers a unique opportunity for users to stream shows, movies, and videos from either their own Plex Media Server or a friend's collection. The application allows simultaneous viewing experiences for up to four friends, complete with voice chat and synchronized video playback.

Among its standout features, Plex VR ensures full support for both 360° and 180° videos, as well as 3D content, enhancing the immersion of the viewing experience. Users can choose from three engaging interactive scenes—a luxury apartment, a void, and a drive-in theater—for a personalized ambiance. Additionally, the ability to save and play videos directly from one’s device adds to the convenience of accessing media.

To enhance audio quality, Plex VR enables virtual surround sound to simulate 5.1 audio experiences. The user interface allows for easy navigation; you can point and click to play content or browse menu options to review cover art. Notably, users can also place videos beside them for later viewing.

It is essential to note that accessing certain features such as the drive-in theater and virtual surround sound requires a Plex Pass subscription, particularly after an initial one-week free trial period.
